For more than 100 years, the VFW Auxiliary has been fulfilling its original objectives by supporting the Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving veterans, active-duty military and their families, and spreading patriotism nationwide.

 Auxiliary members have volunteered millions of hours, donated millions of dollars, and honored hundreds of thousands of veterans. Volunteer with us and celebrate the freedoms we enjoy in America.

 

HELP US START A VFW AUXILIARY IN WESTERN YOLO COUNTY!

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7143 is excited to announce that we are working to establish a VFW Auxiliary right here in western Yolo County, and we are looking for community members who may be eligible and interested in becoming founding members!

The VFW Auxiliary is made up of family members of eligible veterans who come together to support veterans, service members, and their families while serving and strengthening our local communities.

 

Auxiliary members have opportunities to:

• Support local veterans and military families
• Volunteer and serve in our community
• Support youth programs and scholarships
• Support hospitalized veterans
• Advocate for veterans and their families
• Promote patriotism and Americanism

Help VFW Post 7143 expand what we can do for our community.

WHO CAN JOIN?

You may be eligible if you are at least 16 years old and are the:

• Husband or Wife
• Widow or Widower
• Father or Mother
• Grandfather or Grandmother
• Son or Daughter
• Grandson or Granddaughter
• Brother or Sister

of a veteran who is eligible for VFW membership.

Step, adopted and half-family relationships may also qualify.

We will be holding an informational meeting at VFW Post 7143 in Esparto on Tuesday, September 15th 2026, at 6:30 PM for anyone interested in learning more.

There is no obligation to join. Come learn what the Auxiliary is all about, ask questions, and find out how you can be a founding member and build something new in our community.

We need at least 20 eligible applicants to establish our Auxiliary. We are close to that goal but still need a few more. You could be the one who helps us kick this off.
